Entrance 203 As earth that is dry
http://youtu.be/e2eEmih8vHw

As earth that is dry and parched in the sun lies
Waiting for rain,
My soul is a desert, arid and waste;
It longs for your word, O Lord.

Refrain:
Come to the waters, all you who thirst,
Come, now, and eat my bread.

Though you have no money,
come, buy my corn
and drink my red wine.
Why spend precious gold on what will not last?
Hear me, and your soul will live. (refrain)

As one on a journey strays from the road
and falls in the dark,
my mind is a wanderer, choosing wrong paths
and longing to find a star. (refrain)

The Lord is your light,
the Lord is your strength;
Turn back to him now.
For his ways are not the ways you would choose,
And his thoughts are always new. (refrain)

As rain from the mountains falls on the land
and brings forth the seed,
the word of the Lord sinks deep in our hearts,
creating the flower of truth. (refrain)

Gloria No Gloria In Lent

Gospel Acclamation 200 Praise to you  (Farrell)
http://www.ocp.org/compositions/1478

Praise to you, O Christ, our Saviour,
Word of the Father, calling us to life;
Son of God who leads us to freedom:
glory to you, Lord Jesus Christ!

(verse)

Offertory: Old Rugged Cross (sheet music)
https://youtu.be/-JS9P8d2iOc

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,
  The emblem of suff’ring and shame,
And I love that old cross where the Dearest and Best
  For a world of lost sinners was slain.
  So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
  And exchange it some day for a crown.

Oh, that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,
  Has a wondrous attraction for me;
For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above,
  To bear it to dark Calvary.

In the old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,
  A wondrous beauty I see;
For ’twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,
  To pardon and sanctify me.

Lord God of hosts
Holy, Holy, Holy
Lord God of hosts
Heaven and earth are full
Full of your glory
Hosanna in the highest.
Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes
in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest.
Hosanna in the highest.

Memorial Acclamation: When we eat (German Mass)
-same melody as holy holy/Amen

When we eat this Bread and drink this Cup,
we proclaim your Death, O Lord,
until you come again.

Lamb of God Plainchant

1st Communion 721 O Lord, my God (How great thou art)
721 O Lord my God (how great thou art)

O Lord my God, When I in awesome wonder,
Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made;
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.

Refrain:
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art.
Then sings my soul, My Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, How great Thou art!

When through the woods, and forest glades I wander,
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees.
When I look down, from lofty mountain grandeur
And see the brook, and feel the gentle breeze.
(refrain)

And when I think, that God, His Son not sparing;
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;
That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin.
(refrain)

When Christ shall come, with shout of acclamation,
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart.
Then I shall bow, in humble adoration,
And then proclaim: "My God, how great Thou art!" (refrain)

Final 719 To God be the Glory
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CeBoSQsBR0

To God be the glory! Great things He hath done!
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son;
Who yielded His life in atonement for sin,
And opened the life-gate that all may go in.

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
Let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father, through Jesus his Son:
And give Him the glory great things He has done!

O perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God!
And every offender who truly believes,
that moment from Jesus a pardon receives.

Great things he has taught us, great things he has done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our rapture, when Jesus we see.
